Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this presentation attendees will be able to:

  1. Objective: Attendees will be able to identify different activities and events that they can use in their own areas to engage and maintain the interest of youths and young adults. Conclusion: Identify and assess the factors associated with youth and tobacco use and to be able to create advocacy campaigns and other interventions to prevent youth and youth adults from starting to smoke.

Cross Cutting Program Area(s): Communications and Media and Youth

Audience: School Educators, Program Coordinators, Youth Directors, Young Adults, Health Educators,  Adults who work with and for youth, Community Programs Members, Students   

Key Points: Identifying what sources are required for youth programs and activities, improve organization and management with staff and participants, enhance youth and young adult involvements, analyze problems and goals, develop strategic plan and actions plans, and develop interventions.   

Educational Experience: The audience will be able to expand on their activities, design an advocacy campaign, identify needs and resources, conduct action plans, and maintain relationship with youths and young adults
