Audience: This session is geared to those wanting to learn how to use a website to virtually train a statewide coalition disseminate materials to keep members of the coalition on message. The presentation will show data from the CASEMO.org website. Key Points: The session will cover basic analytics of the website, how the usage of the site was affected by trainings and other events, the comparison of urban and rural usage by coalition members, and other relevant aspects of the website. The presenter will also discuss the best practices derived from the creation and development of the CASEMO.org website. Educational Experience: The audience will learn key points through an interactive presentation that illustrates the steps taken by the presenter and the CASE (Campus-Community Alliances for Smoke-Free Environments) team to build a website to train and sustain statewide coalition members. The presenter will explain how the methods employed by the CASE team may be replicated and utilized by those in other states. Benefits: Attendees will leave with a clear understanding of how the creation of a coalition website can help to increase the profile of the organization as well as serve as a way for coalition members to be trained on common messaging and communication techniques. Attendees will learn specific communication strategies on what elements of the website worked, lessons learned and best practices.
