  1. Have an understanding of how to meet varying needs of local programs with ads that are broad enough in messaging and easily tailored to specific needs.

Audience: Tobacco control media and communications campaigns supporting local programs. Key Points: Ads created for local programs to reach the broadest audience or specific audiences will be shown. Importance of ongoing communication and outreach to make ads accessible and eliminate barriers for future use will be discussed. Examples will include: * Print ads that are ready to use or can be customized for branded local adaptations and creative placement; Based on simple concepts with talent buyouts * Clip art that is customizable into finished print ads or as web elements * Recycle, Reuse, Adapt old ads that can be timeless and be re-made Educational Experience: An overview of recent media efforts for local programs that began with a needs analysis and surveys. Benefits: Attendees will learn about planning for long-term media assets that can be borrowed and adapted by local programs at no cost.
