Key Points:

The American Academy of Pediatrics, American Medical Association, American Academy of Family Physicians, American College of Physicians and American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists provide ongoing, evidence-based education and training to their physician members about being effective tobacco control leaders to affect policy, system and environment change in their states and communities. The purpose of this session is to educate tobacco control professionals about the synergy between tobacco control in the clinical and community setting, how to engage physicians in their advocacy work and how to access the network of trained physicians to support the work of their community and/or state coalitions.
